The buyout has been led by Les Ashton-Smith, the company’s existing managing director, with the support of the management team.
The Heber group of companies will continue to operate from its head office in Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK. Serving a wide range of clients in markets around the world, for both the design and manufacture of electronic control systems and products.
Heber was originally formed as an electronics design consultancy by Bob Powell and Tony Reynolds in 1984, with William Gardiner joining the board as technical director a few years later.
Les Ashton-Smith was brought in to the company as MD in 2008 to facilitate the diversification and transition into a greater number of markets delivering bespoke electronic design and manufacturing.
