Heber brings you the Agon Console8 in collaboration with the original designer of the Agon platform, Bernardo Kastrup (The Byte Attic) – The Byte Attic 🇺🇦 (@AtticThe) / Twitter
The Agon Console8 is made for those who want to learn, or go back to coding. It has the BBC BASIC programming language built into it as standard. It’s a fast and powerful platform which allows users to make their own games and programs – like back in the 80’s but faster and more powerful.
The aim of the Console8 is to promote learning and educate people about coding, but angled towards the fun aspect of gaming. It’s easy and fun to use, with infinite possibilities of what you can create.
Heber’s Console8 comes in a custom made 3D printed case, with optional stand in two colours, beige or black. These cases make the Console8 easy to use and store. The 3D print files will shortly be available on Printables.com, so you can create what ever colour or customisation you can imagine.
If you have ever wanted to learn a programming language, develop games or have some fun like the classic computers of the 1980’s, the Agon Console 8 system is for you.
The Agon Platform
The Console8 uses the Agon platform. Agon is a fully open-source 8-bit microcomputer and microcontroller in one small, low-cost board, built with state-of-the-art 21st-century technology. Heber has used the Agon software platform, developed by Bernardo Kastrup, to create the Console8.
Many other developers are already involved with software development, games and applications for the Agon Console8 eco-system.

The Agon platform and Agon Console8 would not be possible without the huge level of software development by Dean Belfield and Jeroen Venema on the Agon platform firmware.
