Heber helps develop the engineers of the future at the Festival of Manufacturing and Engineering

Heber has a proud heritage in developing engineering talent of the future and has been associated with the Gloucestershire Festival of Manufacturing and Engineering (Festomane) over a long period of time.

Festomane celebrates Gloucestershire’s rich heritage and modern day strengths in manufacturing and engineering and encourages children to consider a future in the industries.

This year Festomane was held in the February school holidays at the Stroud Leisure Centre and Heber once again had a stand at the show. The Heber stand boasted an extremely popular Buzz Wire game which had hundreds of children (and even adults!) queuing up for a chance to beat the buzzer! Winners and losers received their own step counter for their efforts in keeping with the venue’s fitness theme.

“It was a fantastic show, with a huge crowd and great atmosphere. Marty Jopson from BBC’s The One Show was in attendance and gave some fantastic science demonstrations. It was wonderful to meet so many aspiring young engineers with so much enthusiasm, as well as networking with other local engineering and manufacturing companies. We are already looking forward to next year’s show.”
