LeakBot included in Consumer Intelligence Whitepaper

LeakBot, a smart water leak detector, developed by Heber and Homeserve Labs has been described as ‘ground breaking’ in independent review by Consumer Intelligence.

The ‘LeakBot’ clips onto a pipe and monitors a home’s fresh water plumbing systems 24/7. It detects small, hidden leaks before they become a big problem, and sends alerts to a mobile phone if a leak is detected.

Five years after the first device was installed Consumer Intelligence were commissioned to conduct independent research to see what the effect of LeakBot has been for those carriers and their customers.

The results are ground breaking. They offer the first cross-country quantification of the savings insurers have made from pro-actively detecting and mending small mains water leaks before they turn into big claims, and the resulting customer loyalty they enjoy.

It is transformational technology with global potential to move the dial on water waste and damage claims.

Heber was proud to be involved through the design of the electronics for the ‘LeakBot’ device. From initial concept, through to working prototype to final production, the Heber design team utilised their expertise in the latest technologies to create and deliver an electronic control system solution for the high volume manufacture required for ‘Leakbot’.
